1. Welcome and sign in using the SmartBoard
Smart Notebook File -
- Orient Board, Sign in, convert to text, on screen keyboard
2. Introductions - Elbow Partners interview each other and report
What their partner teaches
What their partner wants to learn at this session.
3. SmartBoard basics - (stop every 15 to 20 minutes and have the elbow partners discuss classroom implementation)
Components - Board, computer, data projector, cables, keyboard tray
Smart Notebook Software Introduction - Login (45 min)
- Menus , Side Tabs Page Sorter, Objects
- Handwriting, Typed Text Spell check, Inserting Images
- The Gallery Capture Web pages as Graphics - eg Google Maps - Lunch time
- Attachments Smart Notebook Print Capture
- The Menu Bar
- Strategy: Assign different icons from the menu bar (to different participants)
- Explore the icons
- Report/ Demonstrate to the rest of the class
- Practice
- Tell your elbow partner what they learned and how to use it in the classroom
- Give tips to each group on how it could be used or expand on the idea

5. Lesson Activity Toolkit
- Add the Lesson Activity Toolkit to your "My Content" folder in Smart Notebook by downloading the gallery
- Open the Gallery in Smart Notebook
- Click on the "My Content"
- Select the Drop Down Menu.
- Click on the "Add to My Content" option
- Locate the Lesson Activity Toolkit
